Hello!

I am pleased to announce that Teachers College at Columbia University
will be a host site for the first ever Global Game Jam.  The Global
Game Jam is a landmark event in game design where participants come
together to design video games. It will take place simultaneously at
44 different locations in 15 countries around the world.
This year's Global Game Jam will begin at 3 pm EST on January 30, 2009
and end at 5 pm EST on February 1, 2009.  In just forty-eight hours,
teams of game designers, developers and artists will make some great
games!

We invite both amateur and professional designers in all facets of New
York City's design community, from professional gaming companies to
students of design, to join us for the event.  The event is open to
individuals of any level of experience.
Pre-registration is recommended, as space for the event is limited.
